🔼 Court Is In Session. While the seasons may be less than 50 days away, the Cougs are heating up on the court as both WSU hoops programs hit the practice courts for first official week of workouts.

🔼 Connect Four. Early and often might have been the motto for the WSU women’s soccer team on Wednesday night as the Cougs put forth their biggest offensive output of the season in a 4-2 defeat of Seattle.

The Cougars scored four first-half goals, including the fastest goal of the season and a pair of goals less than 40 seconds apart, to secure a third-straight win over the Redhawks.

🔼 Future Foe. The WSU football team will get a sneak peek at a future conference foe when the Cougs take the field tomorrow afternoon in Fort Collins to take on soon-to-be Pac-12 member, Colorado State.

The Cougars will meet Colorado State for third time in the last four seasons and for the fourth time in program history.

WSU leads the all-time series 2-1 after Colorado State won the initial meeting at the 2013 New Mexico Bowl before the Cougars posted wins in the 2022 and 2023 meetings. CSU is set to join the Pac-12 Conference next summer.

Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm (PT) on CBS Sports Network.

WSU volleyball kicked off West Coast Conference action on Thursday night with a dominant win over San Francisco, sweeping past the Dons, 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22).

The Cougars relied on balance and timely execution, with six different players registering multiple kills. Camryn Lingenbrink and Eliana Ti'a led the attack, combining for 13 kills, while middle blocker Lucie Blažková provided a strong two-way presence with four kills, three aces, and a team-best six blocks.

Defensively, WSU recorded 10 total blocks and held San Francisco to just a .129 hitting percentage on the night.

The Cougars have now won five of their past six matches as they get set to host Santa Clara tomorrow afternoon at 1 pm.
