Each week, the podcast will take fans inside Cougar Athletics with all the latest news and information.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 House Call. Another NFL Sunday, another Sunday with former Cougs making noise.

The loudest of the weekend came from second-year pro Chau Smith-Wade, who picked off Atlanta’s Michael Penix in the third quarter and took it to the house for his second career INT and first career pick-six.

Later on Sunday night, Smith-Wade’s former WSU teammate Jaylen Watson got an INT of his own as the Chiefs picked up a road win at the New York Giants. It was also Watson’s second career interception.

🔼 Finishing Strong. With conference play on the horizon, there’s no better time for the Washington State volleyball squad to heat up.

The Cougs will go into WCC play winners of four of the past five, including a dominant 3-0 sweep of Eastern Washington on Friday night.

Lucie Blažková led the charge with 13 kills on .455 hitting, while Mary Healy added nine kills at a .467 clip and three blocks. Melina Christodoulou chipped in seven kills, and Camryn Lingenbrink hit .400 with six kills and five blocks in the middle.

Italia Bernal spread the offense with 26 assists, two aces, and six digs, while Livia Ward added 11 assists and two blocks. Tinons Munar Galmés anchored the back row with 13 digs, and Eliana Tia added nine digs plus two aces.

🔼 Making Waves. The Cougs are officially back in the pool!

The WSU Women’s Swimming squad opened its season with a Crimson and Gray Intrasquad at Gibb Pool Friday.

The Gray team posted a 208-175 win after claiming seven of the 11 events.

Senior All-American Emily Lundgren won the 200 IM, 100 breast and 200 breast from the Gray squad while 2025 NCAA participant sophomore Darcy Revitt paced the Crimson team with wins in the 50 free and 100 free while placing second behind Lundgren in the 100 breast.
