🔼 Securing Their Spot. Wazzu will once again be well represented across the NFL in 2026, with nine former Cougars earning spots on initial 53-man rosters. The group features established veterans such as Frankie Luvu, Jalen Thompson, Gardner Minshew II and Abraham Lucas, along with a growing collection of younger WSU products making their mark at the professional level.
The Cougars’ NFL contingent also includes Jaylen Watson, Daiyan Henley, Jaden Hicks, Chau Smith-Wade and Kyle Williams. Henley is coming off another 100-tackle season with the Chargers, while Williams enters his second year in New England after showing big-play ability as a rookie.
From longtime NFL contributors to emerging young players, the nine former Cougars provide another example of WSU’s ability to develop players capable of succeeding at the next level.
🔼 Talkin’ Ball. The Cougar Football Hour is returning to a familiar location this season, but with a new night. The weekly program will once again be hosted at Zeppoz in Pullman but now on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m.
The first episode is set for TONIGHT. Admission is free to attend.
The show will feature Washington State head coach Kirby Moore, along with Cougar players and members of the coaching staff as special guests throughout the season. The move to Wednesday nights marks a new day for the program, giving Cougar fans a midweek opportunity to hear from Coach Moore and get an inside look at Washington State football.

🔼 The Countdown Continues: 4️⃣ Days Away. No other way to countdown at #4️⃣ than with one of the most profliic QB careers in WSU history.
Arriving in Pullman as a walk-on in 2013, Falk worked his way into a four-year standout in Coach Leach’s Air Raid offense. Falk took over the starting job late in 2014 and never looked back, eventually starting 40 games and helping lead the Cougars to 27 victories, then a school record for a quarterback.
His breakout 2015 season included 4,566 passing yards and 38 touchdowns as he earned First-Team All-Pac-12 honors.
By the end of his career, Falk had rewritten both the Washington State and Pac-12 record books. He finished with 14,486 passing yards and 119 touchdown passes, along with 30 career 300-yard games. He earned All-Pac-12 recognition three times and capped his career in 2017 by winning the Burlsworth Trophy, presented to the nation’s top player who began his career as a walk-on.

This Sunday, the WSU Football program enters a new era as head coach Kirby Moore and the Cougs head to Seattle to battle for the Apple Cup against #17 Washington at 1 p.m. PT on NBC.
This marks the first time ever that the Apple Cup has served as the season opener for both programs.
🔼 The Island Life. The WSU Soccer squad will be back in action tomorrow night when they hit the pitch in Hawaii for the first of two matches on the island.
Tomorrow, the Cougs square off in a neutral site match with Utah Valley with kickoff set for 4 p.m PT, before battling the host, Hawaii on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. PT.
