The Cougs have ventured into the podcast world, unveiling the initial episode of Inside WSU Athletics Podcast.
 
WSU Athletics, together with multi-media partner Playfly, produce the weekly WSU Inside Athletics Podcast, which features WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy, WSU radio broadcaster Chris King, along with Cougar coaches, student-athletes, alumni and staff. Each week, the podcast will take fans inside Cougar Athletics with all the latest news and information.

🔼 Let’s Go Apple Pickin’. For the 117th time, the WSU and Washington will square off on the gridiron this weekend when the two programs kickoff on CBS for the latest edition of the Apple Cup.

WSU and Washington have split the last four meetings, with the Cougars claimed the 2021 meeting at Husky Stadium and last year's Apple Cup at Lumen Field in Seattle.

The Cougs return home to Gesa Field, where they are a perfect 2-0 so far in 2025.

🏈 Previewing Saturday’s Matchup

🔼 Bye, Bye, Bison. A third shutout of the season capped with timely scoring led the WSU women’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting North Dakota State on Thursday night at the Lower Soccer Field.

A first-half penalty shot from Maggie Mace and a second-half insurance goal from Abigial Siddall was enough as the Cougs defense locked down the Bison all night long.

After an initial 20-minute spell to sort the tactics, the Cougars took control of the match, delivering 11 first-half shots, including Mace's 29th minute penalty game-winning goal. Mace scored her first goal as a Coug after a Bison defender deflected a WSU cross with her arm and the referee pointed the spot. Mace converted her first career collegiate penalty kick attempt and scored her first goal since her sophomore season at Coastal Carolina in 2023.
