🔼 East Bound & Down. One of only four schools in the country to start the season with back-to-back power conference schools, WSU Football hits the road again for a Saturday showdown in Manhattan against Kansas State.
The matchup is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The two-game agreement will see the Wildcats play in Pullman September 8, 2029.
WSU has won its last two games against the Big 12 Conference, beating Texas Tech 37-16 in Pullman in a 2024 matchup and beat Iowa State 28-26 in the 2018 Alamo Bowl.
Kickoff tomorrow is set for 9 a.m. CT on TNT.

🔼 Off To The Races. For the first time this season, the WSU cross country squads will lace them up and hit the course for the 2026 Cougar Invitational at Colifax Golf & Country Club.
Both squads will enter this evening’s races with national rankings next to their names with the men’s team ranked #11 and the women at #21.
Tonight’s competition kicks off with the women hitting the course at 5:30 pm, followed by the men at 6 p.m.
🔼 See Ya In Seattle. A pair of first time opponents precede a long-time rival as the WSU Volleyball team heads to Seattle for three games this weekend, beginning tonight at 5 pm against Lipscomb.
Tomorrow, the Cougs square off with Southern Utah at 2 pm before Sunday’s weekend finale and the 80th all-time meeting between WSU and Washington.
The Cougs enter the weekend playing some of the nation’s best defense at the net. WSU ranks second nationally in both blocks per set (3.61) and opponent hitting percentage (.077) and has recorded at least 12 blocks in four straight matches.

🔼 Joining The Movement. Coming off a 2026 Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship and the program’s first trip back to the NCAA Tournament since 2010, the WSU Baseball program officially welcomed its incoming signing class for the 2027 campaign.
“We are very excited about the group of incoming players,” head coach Nathan Choate said. “We have added both athleticism and size. This will be our deepest pitching staff since our coaching staff has been here. Coach Richards and Coach Hutting have done a great job identifying and recruiting the right type of players and people to our program. We are excited to get to work as a team.”
