🔼 Cougs At Work. The action on the gridiron is picking up as the Cougs ramp up training camp with the season opener less than a month away.

Let’s catch up from all the action at camp so far.

🔼 Preseason Praise. While the WSU soccer program doesn’t officially open its season until next Thursday, the accolades are already rolling in for the Cougs.

Fifth-year standout Jenna Studer was named to the West Coast Conference Preseason All-Conference squad on Thursday morning.

Studer was a key cog in last year’s defensive unit that limited the opposition to just 1.05 goals per game. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native scored two goals and dished out an assist, while playing nearly every minute of every game last season (1,697 out of 1,710).

As a team, the Cougs were picked to finish fifth in the league in the coaches’ poll.

🔼 Fresh Face. Later this month, the WSU volleyball program will return to the court to open up their 2025 slate.

They will do so with plenty of new faces, including outside hitter Melina Christodoulou, who we meet in the final edition of Meet The Cougs with Wazzu volleyball.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 2️⃣2️⃣ DAYS

Come on now, who doesn’t love a little Flashback Friday?

This time, we go back to the 1992 Copper Bowl, a game that featured over 1,100 yards of total offense combined, but ultimately it was decided by the foot of WSU’s Aaron Price, who drilled a 2️⃣2️⃣-yard field with under six minutes to play in the fourth quarter to give the Cougars a thrilling 31-28 victory over Utah.

🤔 COUGAR TRIVIA

Jenna Studer’s lone assist last fall came on the quickest goal of the season for the soccer squad. How quick did the Cougars score that goal against Pacific in the season finale?
