🔼 Opening Act. A new season is ready to get underway in Pullman for the WSU Volleyball program.
The Cougars open the 2026 campaign with three matches in three days at Bohler Gym, beginning tonight against Omaha with a 6 p.m. serve.
WSU will follows it up with a 5 p.m. matchup with Montana on Saturday and an 11 a.m. finale against Central Michigan on Sunday.
🔼 Countin’ Down: Nine Days. We’re getting closer and closer, Cougs fans!
That’s right, we are now just 9️⃣ days away from the kickoff of the 2026 football season for the Cougs.
This week, Head Coach Kirby Moore announced that Caden Pinnick will be QB1 for Wazzu this upcoming year.
Pinnick arrived in Pullman after earning Freshman All-American status at UC Davis. He piled up 3,643 total yards of offense and 35 total TDs.
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Wazzu Football this fall. The Cougs will take on Washington
in the Apple Cup on Sept. 6 in Seattle.

🔼 So Fresh, So Clean. The WSU women’s soccer team secured a second consecutive shutout on Thursday, returning home to earn a hard-fought 2-0 victory over UC Irvine.
Senior forward Lexi Lee delivered the game-winner with under seven minutes to play before freshman forward Delaney Hawkins delivered the knockout punch in the final 60 seconds.
🔼 Earning His Shot. A former WSU standout has earned a shot in the Mile High City.
This week, Ron Stone, Jr. signed a free-agent deal with the Denver Broncos ahead of the club’s preseason game. Stone has spent the last two seasons playing in the United Football League (UFL), where he played in 19 games for two different teams.
At WSU, Stone earned All-Pac-12 honors three times and racked up 200 career tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks and five forced fumbles. In his final season with the Cougars in 2023, he recorded 59 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
