The Official Newsletter for Washington State Athletics, presented by BECU

Good Morning, Wazzu Fam. Grab your coffee and bagel and get right into the middle of practice with the Cougs!

What all do we have in today’s Brew? Check it out below.

🏈 Campin’ Out
⏱️ Countin’ Down: 23 Days Away!
👏 And much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Campin’ Out. The preparation for the upcoming 2026 season is at full speed as the Cougs continue to grind away on the practice field with fall camp under first-year head coach Kirby Moore.

This week, Moore gave us an inside look at practice in the latest of edition of Mic’d Up with Cougar Football.

🔼 Finding Pay Dirt. The NFL preseason is underway and former Cougs are already turning heads.

Last night, a pair of former Wazzu standouts found pay dirt beginning with Kyle Williams, who played the first half for the Patriots, hauled in two catches for 37 yards and a second quarter TD in New England’s preseason opener.

Just a few hours later, Gardner Minshew lit it up for the Arizona Cardinals, going 14-for-16 for 101 yards and two TDs.

Cougs don't just show up on game day. They show up every day.

Cougs Mobile, a wireless service built in partnership with WSU, directs a portion of every payment toward WSU athletics and student programs, at no extra cost to you. No donation form. No pledge drive. Just your wireless plan backing Coug Country.

Unlimited plans from $25/mo. No contracts. No hidden fees. Keep your number.

🔼 Cougs Unite! The start of class is just a few weeks away and there’s no better way to enjoy your experience to the fullest than to cheer on the Cougs together!

All students who purchase a Sports Pass automatically become members of ZZU CRU. ZZU CRU is the official student fan group of Washington State Athletics and boasts as one of the largest student support groups in the Pac-12 Conference.

🔼 Countin’ Down. Tick tock, tick tock, we’re getting closer and closer.

That’s right, we are now just 2️⃣3️⃣ days away from the kickoff of the 2026 football season for the Cougs.

Growing up about 300 miles from Pullman, Trey Leckner has made quite a name for himself over the past two seasons at Wazzu.

The 6-3, 245-pound tight end has played in all 25 games over the past two years, including 11 starts for the Cougs.

Leckner has hauled in 29 passes for 273 yards with four TDs.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Wazzu Football this fall. The Cougs will take on Washington
in the Apple Cup on Sept. 6 in Seattle.
