🔼 Golden Girl. While many college student around the globe enjoyed their summer of relaxing and hanging out, rising sophomore Marta Alsina got to work.

And now, she’s coming back to Pullman with hardware.

Alsina, playing with her home country of Spain, captured gold at the 2025 FIBA U20 Women’s Eurobasket Tournament last week.

Last year, the guard played in all 35 games for the Cougars, averaging just over 10 minutes per game and is ready to take a bigger step forward as the 2025-26 draws near.

🔼 Eyes On Us. Even with the season still three weeks away, the praise is already rolling in for the Cougars.

Late last week, WSUe offensive lineman Brock Dieu was named to the 2025 Rimington Trophy Preseason Watch List.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.

Dieu started all 13 games last season, 10 at right guard, two at center and is expected to be the Cougars starting center this season. In 508 pass blocking snaps last season, the redshirt-senior from Queen Creek, Ariz. allowed just seven pressures and no sacks. Dieu enters the season with 28 career games played including 21 as a starter.

🔼 20/20 Vision. Former Cougar Kyle Manzardo continued his breakout season for the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday, blasting not one, but ✌️ long balls to reach 20 HRs on the year.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣9️⃣ DAYS

After getting his feet wet last season for the Cougs, #1️⃣9️⃣ redshirt freshman Kayo Patu is ready to take a step up entering his second year in Pullman.

The Sacramento, Calif. native made his debut in the season-opener against Portland State last year and worked in the safety room all season long.
