🔼 Summertime Star. It was a major night for former WSU standout Cedric Coward, who led the Grizzlies to a NBA Summer League playoff berth with 23-point, three-rebound, three-assist performance in Thursday’s victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
Coward and the Grizzlies improved to 3-1 to lock in a playoff spot, which begin next week in Las Vegas.
In Memphis’ four games, Coward is averaging 16.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 3.8 apg.

🔼 Countin’ Down. Tick tock, tick tock, we’re getting closer and closer.
That’s right, we are just 5️⃣1️⃣ days away from the kickoff of the 2026 football season for the Cougs.
Wearing #5️⃣1️⃣ this fall will be redshirt sophomore Ben Beatty, who made his collegiate debut last fall with the Cougs, playing in 11 games, mostly on special teams.
The Park City, Utah native tallied three tackles, including his first career sack in the win over Oregon State.
Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Wazzu Football this fall. The Cougs will take on Washington
in the Apple Cup on Sept. 6 in Seattle.
🔼 Seeing Silver. Before even donning a WSU uniform, incoming transfer Emerson Matthews had some hardware to collect with Team Canada.
The outside hitter who is arriving in Pullman after spending last season at Buffalo, earned the silver medal at the recent 2026 NORCECA U21 Pan American Cup.
