🔼 He’s Heating Up. As the calendar turns to June, former Coug Kyle Manzardo is starting to find his swing.

After a slow start to the 2026 season, Manzardo is red hot for the Cleveland Guardians, hitting HRs in back-to-back games this week against the Yankees to lead his squad to a series victory over the Bronx Bombers.

Over the past month, the former WSU standout is hitting .301 with five HRs and 12 RBIs.

🔼 Nick The Neutralizer. This week, WSU southpaw Nick Lewis was named the National Pitcher of the Month for the month of May by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America.

During the month of May, Lewis went 4-0 with a pair of complete games along with a 1.07 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 34.1 innings, helping the Cougars to a Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2010.

The redshirt-sophomore issued just four walks, allowed just four earned runs and was named to a pair of All-Tournament teams in the Mountain West Conference Tournament and Eugene NCAA Regional.

🔼 Dancin’ To His Own Beat. He did not set out to go viral.

WSU football’s Daniel Blood was just fooling around with a friend one afternoon, no plan, no ring light, when something clicked. He started to move, a sound matched up on TikTok, and just like that, the "fooling around" dance was born.

That is Daniel Blood in a nutshell. Effortless. Energetic. The kind of guy who lights up a room without even trying. The Washington State wide receiver, a transfer from Missouri and a Louisiana native, brings energy to everything, whether he is hyping teammates up during practice or watching his TikTok following grow.

Off the field, Blood calls himself a chill guy with a small circle, happy just playing Fortnite and watching film on a day off. But spend five minutes with him and it's clear that's only half the story. His teammates know him as the guy dancing, bouncing, getting everybody going before the ball even moves.

🔼 The League Lineup. We know the summer is just getting started, but we can’t wait for the fall to get here!

This week, the WSU volleyball squad laid out more of its slate for the upcoming 2026 season with the Pac-12 schedule release.

The league slate will feature 16 matches, eight home and eight on the road, twice facing each of the eight other member institutions.
