🔼 Yard Work. While many of us may have spent some time this weekend doing work in our yards, former Coug Kyle Manzardo did some yard work of his own.

The third-year pro has now hit two HRs in the past four games for the Cleveland Guardians.

On the season, Manzardo now has nine HRs and 26 RBIs.

🔼 Still Slingin’ It. Now in his fourth season in pro ball, former WSU righthander Brandon White is still slingin’ it.

In a 5-2 win, White allowed just one hit and struck out 11. It marked the second time this year that he has struck out 11 batters in a game.

🔼 Countin’ Down. Tick tock, tick tock, we’re getting closer and closer.

That’s right, we are just 7️⃣6️⃣ days away from the kickoff of the 2026 football season for the Cougs.

Emerging as WSU’s starter in the final stretch of games last fall, redshirt junior running back Kirby Vorhees piled up 57️⃣6️⃣ yards on 138 carries for the Cougs.

Vorhees played in all 12 games for Wazzu, but became the starter in the final six games of 2025. The Lutz, Fla., native found the endzone five times and averaged 4.2 yards per carry.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Wazzu Football this fall. The Cougs will take on Washington
in the Apple Cup on Sept. 6 in Seattle.
