🔼 Golden Boy. This week, Cougar lefthander Nick Lewis was named a 2026 ABCA Rawlings Gold Glove winner by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Lewis beat out finalists Ruger Riojas from Texas and Eric Segura from Oregon State for the national award presented annually to the top defensive players at each position from each division of collegiate and high school baseball.

Former WSU standout third baseman Paul Gran was the program’s only previous Gold Glove award winner after earning the award in 2008. The Gold Glove started in 2007.

Make your money work for you and your community.

🔼 Catch Us In Cancun. WSU women's basketball has been officially announced as a participant in the upcoming 2026 Cancun Challenge, which will take place Thanksgiving week at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

Powered by Triple Crown Sports, the 2026 event marks the 21st edition of the women's tournament. The event runs Nov. 26-28 with Kansas, Miami (OH), Minnesota, and two additional opponents still to be determined, joining Washington State in the six-team event.

🔼 Countin’ Down. Tick tock, tick tock, we’re getting closer and closer.

That’s right, we are just 79 days away from the kickoff of the 2026 football season for the Cougs.

Wearing #79 this upcoming season will be redshirt freshman Turner Bertrand, a 6-7, 305-pound offensive lineman from Kearney, Neb.

Bertrand has a bright future ahead of him after an All-State career at Kearney High School in Nebraska. He was named one of the state’s top offensive lineman by Sports Illustrated during his junior season.

Throughout the summer, we will be counting down the days
to the return of Wazzu Football this fall. The Cougs will take on Washington
in the Apple Cup on Sept. 6 in Seattle.
