🔼 The Need For Speed. The WSU track squad is heading to Oregon.
A trio of Cougar sophomores blistered the track this past weekend at the NCAA West Regional meet in Fayetteville, Ark.
Super soph Rosemary Longisa continued her incredible season with the region’s fastest time in the 1500m, while Caroline Jepkorir punched her ticket to the championships in the 3000m steeplechase.
On the men’s side, Evans Kurui punched not one, but two tickets to the national meet in both the 5000m and the 10000m.

🔼 What A Year. The first conference championship since 1976. The first NCAA Tournament apperance and victory since 2010. The most wins since 2010.
What a year it was for the WSU Baseball squad, who saw the magical season come to a close on Sunday, dropping a tough game to seventh-ranked Oregon State in the elimination bracket of the Eugene Regional.
The Cougs got another complete game gem from Nick Lewis to start the regional off with a 3-2 victory over the Beavers, but dropped back-to-back games to top-15 ranked Oregon and Oregon State to conclude the incredible year.

🔼 Primetime Performer. Big time players make big time plays in big time games.
All of that is an understatement when it comes to redshirt sophomore Nick Lewis, who earned All-Regional Tournament Team accolades with his complete game showing against #8 Oregon State on Friday.
Lewis tossed his second complete game of the year to reach 10 wins, the most by a Cougar since Matt O’Brien in 2000.
He allowed just six hits and two earned runs to the top-10 ranked Beavers.
