🔼 House Protected. Marching towards the postseason, the WSU Baseball squad picked up its fifth straight series victory this past weekend, taking two of three from visiting Fresno State.

The Cougs claimed the series early with a 5-1 victory on Friday, followed by an absolute domination on Saturday to the tune of 17-0.

With the two victories over Fresno State, WSU needs just one more conference win to clinch a berth in the postseason.

The Cougs have a monster showdown with Air Force this week as the two teams are currently separated by just one game for a top-two spot in the Mountain West standings.

WSU is back in action today with a Monday date with Gonzaga in Spokane. First pitch is set for 4 pm.

🔼 Raising The Bar. Folks, she’s done it yet again.

Rosemary Longisa cemented herself yet again in the WSU history books this past weekend, becoming the fastest outdoor 800-meter runner in WSU history. Her time currently ranks fifth in the country.

Evans Kurui, Jaylyn Lehner, and Hailey Cossey also won their respective races to add to the successful night for Washington State.

With a time of 2:00.27, Longisa not only earned the event victory, but also broke the previous record of Celesetine N'Drin, who set the record more than 35 years ago. Longisa now holds the school record in the Women's Indoor 800m, Outdoor 800m, Indoor Mile, and Outdoor 1500m. Her time currently ranks fifth in the nation, and she now holds a top-five time in two different races.

🔼 Young Gun. Freshman Dylan Boenning showed the future of WSU men’s golf is in good hands as the youngster showed out at the 2026 West Coast Conference Championship.

The Phoenix, Ariz. native led the way for the Cougs with a top-five spot on the leaderboard, finishing at 5-under for the tournament, good for fourth-overall.

The 5-under was a 54-hole low for Boenning, who wrapped up his freshman season with his strongest performance of the year.

🔼 Battlin’ The Beavs. It was another weekend spent on the water for the WSU rowing squad, who made the trek south to battle Oregon State over the weekend.

The two squads battled all weekend long with Wazzu earning a victory in the 3V8 over the Beavers.
