For the first time since 2010, the WSU Baseball program will step onto the field at NCAA Regionals today when it takes on second-seeded Oregon State at the Eugene Regional.

First pitch tonight is set for 12:06 p.m.

🔼 Punchin’ Tickets. WSU sophomore distance runner Evans Kurui finished third in the 10,000-meter run national semifinals on Wednesday evening at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds, earning his ticket to the championship race as part of the NCAA Championship next month in Eugene.

Kurui crossed the finish line in 28:45.60, claiming one of 12 qualification spots for the championship, June 10 at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

On Thursday, fellow sophomore Rosemary Longisa cruised to a first-place finish in the opening heat of the women's 1,500-meter and clinched her spot in Saturday's national quarterfinals, set to commence at 3:15 p.m. PT (5:15 p.m. CT) at John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas.

🔼 Forever A Legend. Richard B. "Dick" Fry, one of the great figures in Washington State University's history," passed away Wednesday, May 27, in Pullman. Fry was 103.

For more than half a century, Fry's work at Washington State as a writer, historian and mentor is unmatched. The Oroville, Calif. native began his Cougar career in 1952 writing alumni news. In 1957, he became the sports information director in the Washington State Athletic Department. In 1970, Fry took over as the director of news and information services for the Cougars.
