🔼 The Oregon Trail. For the first time since 2010, the WSU Baseball program is back in the NCAA Tournament.

On Monday, the Cougs were selected to the Eugene Regional and will make their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Cougars, seeded third, will play two-seeded Oregon State in Friday's opening round and will join No. 11 national seed Oregon and fourth-seed Yale in the region.

WSU earned the bid after beating San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference Championship game on Sunday. It is Washington State's first conference title since winning the Pac-10 North in 1995 and the first overall conference title since beating UCLA in a playoff to win the 1976 Pac-8 title.

🔼 Lace ‘Em Up. The WSU Baseball team aren’t the only ones trying to get to Eugene this week.

The Cougar track squad beings competition at the NCAA West Regionals in Fayetteville today as they look to fight for spots at the NCAA Championship meet next month at historic Hayward Field in Eugene.

Tonight, the men’s 10000m crew of Evans Kurui, Josphat Meli, Solomon Kipchoge, Kutoven Stevens and Muhammed Ahmed all hit the track at 7:10 pm PT looking to earn a top-12 finish in the event.

Tomorrow, the women lace ‘em up as Rosemary Longisa (1500m) toes the line at 4:30 pm PT, followed by Zenah Cheptoo in the 10000m at 7:10 pm PT.

🔼 League Her. What a debut for our girl Reese Tappan.

The former Coug had an outstanding showing in her first professional season with the Spokane Zephyr FC. This week, she earned a spot on the All-League Second Team.

She led the league with 32 blocked shots while ranking third in the league with 157 clearances, eighth among outfield players with 147 recoveries, and logged 35 successful tackles at a 71.4% success rate to earn a +4.95 Goals Added mark.
