🔼 Rollin’ With Roy. The WSU Baseball squad wrapped up its regular season on Tuesday with a tough battle against Seattle, dropping a hard-fought 12-11 contest.

In the victory, senior Gavin Roy picked up two more hits to extend his on-base streak to 39 consecutive games, the third longest streak in WSU Baseball history.

The Cougs are off this weekend and await the determination of their seeding for next weekend’s Mountain West Conference Tournament in Mesa, Ariz.

🔼 Pickin’ Up A Pair. WSU Baseball picked up a pair of Mountain West Conference weekly accolades this week with infielder Gavin Roy being named the Player of the Week and outfielder Trevor Smith named the freshman of the week.

This past weekend, the Cougars took two of three at Air Force to record their sixth-straight series win for the first time since 1995.

In four games last week, Roy hit .643 (9-14) with two doubles, a triple, six RBI, seven runs scored, posted a .700 on-base percentage, recorded multiple hits in all four games, scored a run in all four games and had at least one RBI in all four games.

Smith hit .529 (9-for-17) in the four games last week, with a double, eight runs scored, four RBI, a .600 on-base percentage, recorded three multiple-hit games, scored a run in all four games and struck out just once in 21 plate appearances.

🔼 Welcome To The Cougs. First-year head coach Chris Citowicki and his staff are loading up for next fall and this week, they added a piece to help solidify the defensive side of the ball in transfer Kylie Briscoe.

Briscoe spent last season at Colorado State, playing in 10 games for the Rams. She arrives in Pullman with two years of eligibility remaining after spending her freshman season at Oklahoma.
