🔼 Drive To Five. The final weekend home series of the year has arrived for the WSU Baseball program as the Cougs welcome Fresno State in its penultimate Mountain West series.

Wazzu has won four straight weekend series and five of its past six as they look to make a move towards the Mountain West Conference Tournament. The Cougs enter the weekend just one game back of first-place in the conference standings.

Game times are set for 6:05 on Friday and Saturday and 12:05 on Sunday. The Cougs will recognize three senior managers and 12 senior student-athletes prior to Sunday’s first pitch.

🔼 Special K. Freshman women’s golf sensation Kaitlyn Helm added to her collection of accolades with one more this week.

Helm was named All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention on Thursday.

The Phoenix, Ariz. native capped her freshman season with a Top-10 finish at last week's West Coast Conference Championships, finishing tenth at five-over, tying for the tenth-best three-round score at a conference championship in program history. Helm's final round of 73 lowered her season average to 73.92, breaking the WSU Freshman single-season record for scoring average.

🔼 Smarty Cats. The successes weren’t limited to the pool for the WSU Swimming program this season.

This week, four Wazzu swimmers earned Academic All-District honors while senior Emily Lundgren earned Academic All-America Second-Team Honors.

Lundgren was joined on the CSC All-District Team by teammates seniors Anna Rauchholz and Lauren Wille along with sophomore Darcy Revitt.

Entering his third season at Wazzu, Brown has played in 13 games (all in 2024), finishing with 26 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and a sack.

This year, he’s back for more and this week, the grad student is the latest edition of “Get to Know The Cougs”.
