🔼 Full Steam Ahead. A new era of WSU Athletics is officially underway as Washington State University President Betsy Cantwell has selected Jon Haarlow as WSU's vice president and director of athletics.

Haarlow, who has served as the interim athletic director since November 12, 2025, will be introduced at a press conference in the Alger Family Club Room at Gesa Field, Monday, April 20 at 11 a.m. He becomes the 16th individual to lead Cougar athletics in school history.

Haarlow has more than five years of experience at Washington State University and 15 years in collegiate athletics. He joined WSU in 2021 as senior associate athletic director and chief financial officer for WSU Athletics.

🔼 Top-10 Takedown. What better way to celebrate a new era of WSU Athletics than with a Top-10 takedown?

That’s what the Cougs did on the baseball diamond on Tuesday, pulling out a hard-fought 7-6 win over #7 Oregon State at Bailey-Brayton Field.

Ryan Skjonsby had three hits and three RBI, Dustin Robinson had two hits and scored two runs while six Cougar pitchers combined to hold the Beavers to just six hits including three through the first eight innings. WSU freshman righthander Ryan Falke was impressive in his first career start, striking out five in three scoreless frames.

🔼 First Of Many To Come. Redshirt junior Yura Nakagawa will remember this one for a while.

Nakagawa pulled off a three-set, come-from-behind win over Gonzaga this past weekend that helped clinch a team win over the Bulldogs.

For her efforts, Nakagawa secured her first-ever WCC Women’s Singles Tennis Player of the Week accolade.

🔼 Pro Pitchin’ It. It’s a busy time on the pitch for five former Cougs as the NWSL and USL seasons are in full swing.

Let’s check in on the latest pro action for the WSU soccer alums.
