🔼 Four Of A Kind. No better time to get hot than down the the stretch of the regular season.

That’s exactly what the WSU Baseball squad has done, winning its fourth straight series to put themselves in prime position to lock up a spot in next month’s Mountain West Tournament in Mesa, Ariz.

Over the weekend, the Cougs used a potent offensive attack to outscore New Mexico, 10-3 in the opener and 13-3 in the finale to take two-of-three from the Lobos.

🔼 Gesa Grindin’. The WSU Football team wrapped up its spring practices this past weekend with the annual Crimson and Gray Spring Game at Gesa Field.

A late INT from Malachi Wrice sealed the victory for the Gray Team (defense), 40-29 over the Crimson Team (offense).

The Cougar defense picked off two passes, Jeremiah Bernard and Wrice. The offense saw Caden Pinnick throw a touchdown pass to Brandon Ganashamoorthy and Beau Phillips rush for a three-yard score. Jack Stevens connected from 42, 36 and 40 yards, while Miguel Arenas hit from 50 and 36 yards.

🔼 Earning Their Shot. A pair of Wazzu Football standouts are one step closer to achieving their dreams.

This weekend, Colby Humphrey (49ers) and Tucker Large (Eagles) both signed free agent contracts to join the respective organizations for training camp with hopes of earning a shot on the 53-man roster come next fall.

🔼 Home Sweet Home. There’s no place like home.

The eight seniors of the WSU Track & Field program took to the track one last time at home this weekend at the annual Cougar Classic.

Prior to competition, the eight were recognized for their contributions to the program for the past four years.

On the track, victories by Evans Kurui and Maya Nichols highlighted the action.
