🔼 What A Haul. Senior Eva Alvarez Sande was named the 2026 West Coast Conference Co-Player of the Year, highlighting three Washington State tennis players to garner first-team accolades.
In addition to her Player of the Year honor, Alvarez Sandez was named to the 2026 All-West Coast Conference Singles first team, while redshirt-senior Maxine Murphy was also a first-team singles selection while also earning first-team doubles honors with sophomore Chisato Kanemaki.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. Coach Riley and staff added another dynamic piece to the puzzle for the 2026-27 season.
This week, the Cougs officially welcomed incoming transfer Sebastian Akins, who comes to Wazzu after playing in all 35 games at Wake Forest last season. He scored in double-figures eight times for the Demon Deacons and averaged 5.3 points per game.
Akins began his career at Denver, where he was named the Summit League Freshman of the Year.

🔼 Meet The Cougs. The Wazzu Football squad is finishing up the spring season as the Cougs tune up for the 2026 season.
One of the newest Cougs is Jaylen Thomas, a transfer from San Jose State, where he started all 12 games for the Spartans last season. He finished with 59 total tackles, one for a loss, six pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.

Earlier this week, Jon Haarlow was formally introduced as Washington State University's Vice President and Director of Athletics in the Alger Family Club Room at Gesa Field.
Washington State University President Betsy Cantwell introduced Haarlow at a press conference this morning, which will be followed by a meet and greet with community members.
