🔼 Putting On A Show. On Tuesday, 19 members of the Wazzu Football program laced them up and put on a show, looking for their shot at the next level.

The Cougs hosted their annual Pro Day on campus with professional scouts from around the world coming to look for the next star in the making.

🔼 Called To The Hall. Washington State University will induct two individuals and five teams into its Athletic Hall of Fame, Oct. 23-24, 2026, WSU Interim Director of Athletics Jon Haarlow announced Tuesday.

The 2026 WSU Athletic Hall of Fame class includes football student-athlete Lee Blakeney, volleyball Head Coach Cindy Fredrick, along with the 1976 Baseball team, the 1981 Football team, the 1985 Women's Cross Country team, the 1996 Women's Volleyball Team and the 2006 Women's Rowing team.

🔼 Perfect 10. Four WSU pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout in a near perfect 10-0 win over Seattle U on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Mason Pirello, a Sammamish, Wash. native, had three hits including his first career homer as six different Cougar hitters drove in a run. Gavin Roy had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 14 games while Pirello, Ollie Obenour and Ryan Skjonsby each scored twice.

Brock Blatter started and worked the first and second innings with a pair of strikeouts and Trevor Stowe followed with scoreless third and fourth innings with two strikeouts. Erik Rodriguez worked a scoreless fifth and Ryan Falke posted scoreless sixth and seventh innings with four strikeouts.

🔼 Back-To-Back. It was so nice that he did it twice!

WSU outfielder Matt Priest earned his second straight Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Week honor.

In four games last week, Priest hit .563 (9-16) with two homers, one double, 10 RBI, four runs scored and stole one base. The redshirt-freshman from San Diego hit safely in all four games, had three multiple-hit games including a pair of three-hit efforts.

Priest has appeared in 21 games with 17 starts and is hitting .323 with three doubles, one triple, three home runs, 19 RBI and 10 runs scored.
