🔼 One Down. Using a monster second quarter, the WSU women’s hoops team pulled away from Seattle to pick up a dominant 80-58 victory in the opening round of the 2026 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship.
Eleonora Villa led all scorers with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting while adding three assists. Keandra Koorits contributed 13 points, Malia Ruud added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Alex Covill finished with 12 points and six boards.
Mackenzie Chatfield filled the stat sheet with eight points, five assists, and three steals on a day that WSU forced Seattle into 17 turnovers.

🔼 Smarty Cats. Seven different WSU hoopers were recognized for their excellence off the court this week.
Parker Gerrits and Alex Covill were named to the WCC All-Academic Teams, while Rihards Vavers, Eleonora Villa, Charlotte Abraham, Keandra Koorits, Lauren Glazier and Marta Alsina all earned All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition.
