March 28 isn’t just about the baseball game, it’s also about celebrating Coug Alumni Day at the WSU ballpark.

As WSU marks 136 years of Cougar pride and impact, we’re also earning national recognition. The Princeton Review ranks Washington State University among the Top 7 alumni networks in the country among public universities — a powerful reminder that the Cougar connection lasts far beyond the final out.

🔼 On The Grind. Practicing in helmets, jerseys and shorts, the WSU football squad hit the practice field for the first time under first-year head coach Kirby Moore on Thursday morning.

🔼 Mark ‘Em Down. In anticipation of the 2026 Wazzu Football season, Cougar Athletics announced the dates for 2026 Homecoming and Family Weekends, this week.

Family Weekend is scheduled for the Oct. 3 game when the Cougars host new Pac-12 member Fresno State. The annual Homecoming game is scheduled for Oct. 24 when WSU hosts Boise State.

🔼 Strong Start. Now that’s how you start a tournament.

Sophomore Dylan Burcham fired an opening-round 5-under, 65, to lead the WSU men’s golf team during the first round of play at The Goodwin, played on the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course.

As a team, the Cougars finished the first day at 1-over, 281, 12th in the 30-team event. In one of the strongest fields on WSU's schedule this season, with 14 teams ranked in the top 50 nationally.

🔼 In Good Company. WSU men's basketball assistant coach Pedro Garcia Rosado was selected to the 2026 Silver Waves Media Rising Stars Power Lunch to be held at the 2026 Men's Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind. next month.

The event will recognize 59 impactful coaches throughout the American college and professional basketball ranks, bringing them together for a collaborative event surrounding the Division-I men's basketball championship.
