🔼 On The Move. NFL free agency is in full swing as a pair of former Cougs are on the move to new stops.
Two-time Super Bowl Champion Jaylen Watson will start his fifth NFL season with the Los Angeles Rams after spending his first four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Longtime NFL QB Gardner Minshew is headed west as well, agreeing to a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals for next season.
🔼 Young Gun. For the first time this season, the WSU Baseball team brought home a weekly accolade as catcher Alexandre Giguère was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Week.
In three games last week at Texas State, Giguère hit three home runs, drove in five runs, scored five runs with a .364 batting average and slugged 1.182.
The Levis, Quèbec City, Canada native has appeared in six games with three starts and is hitting .333 with three home runs, one double, five runs scored and six RBI.
🔼 Max Effort. One thing is for sure, WSU redshirt senior Maxine Murphy is leaving it all on the court during her final collegiate season.
After her victory over the nation’s 10th-ranked player last week, Murphy was named the WCC Women’s Singles Tennis Player of the Week.
Last week against No. 16 Pepperdine, Murphy posted the biggest singles win of her Cougar career, defeating the Waves' Anastasiia Grechkina, 6-3, 6-4, who entered the match ranked No. 10 nationally.
Murphy's victory was the highest-ranked win for a Cougar player since Michaela Bayerlova defeated No. 9 Chloe Beck of Duke at the NCAA Championships, May 24, 2022.

🔼 Super Sam. Senior Sam Renner is leaving it all on the course for the WSU men’s golf squad.
Playing in one of the deepest fields of the entire season, Renner fired back-to-back bogey-free rounds to finish 10-under and earn a third-place finish to lead the Cougars at the 2026 Desimone Invitational in Daly City, Calif.
In a a field that featured 10 of 15 teams ranked among the Top-50 nationally, WSU finished ahead of such teams as Pepperdine (ranked #10), UCLA (#33), USC (#25), Utah (#24), Wake Forest (#27) and Washington (#32).
