🔼 Feelin’ 100. Hopefully they have new lights on hand for the scoreboard at Beasley Coliseum because the WSU men’s hoops team was busy lighting it up this weekend.

The Cougs scored a season-high 104 points, blowing by Portland, 104-74, on Saturday afternoon.

WSU picked up their third-straight win and completed the season sweep of Portland behind a season-best 26 assists and 55 percent shooting.

Junior Eemeli Yalaho scored a career-high 26 points to lead WSU, adding a team-high nine rebounds. From the opening jump the Finn carried the Cougs, scoring 16 first-half points, 3-of-3 from beyond the arc and a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor at intermission.

🔼 Raising The Bar. And the bar has been raised yet again by WSU track & field standout Rosemary Longisa.

Longisa’s historic performance in the mile highlightd a strong weekend in Seattle for the Cougs, who had 17 different athletes post personal bests.

Longisa etched her names in the history books as her time of 4 minutes and 24.59 seconds was the third best in NCAA history and the current best in the NCAA Division I. Her time was also the best the UW Invitational has ever seen, beating the previous record by three seconds. She also beat her own program record by almost 16 seconds over the time she set last year.

🔼 What A Weekend. The streak lives on.

The WSU swimming & diving squad posted its second straight undefeated season, extending its win streak to 16 consecutive dual meet victories dating back to Jan. 20, 2024.

Facing a back-to-back, home-and-home series with Idaho, the Cougs rolled past the Vandals on both days, 210-52 and 178-84.

🤔 COUGAR TRIVIA

In Saturday’s win over Portland, WSU knocked down a season-high 16 3-pointers.
