🔼 Flyin’ High. The WSU men’s hoops team earned bragging rights on Wednesday night, flyin’ past Eastern Washington in neutral-site action with a 78-63 victory in the 509 Classic.

The Cougars jumped out quickly and never looked back as they look to head into the holiday break with momentum before conference play kicks into action.

Emmanuel Ugbo poured in a career-high 20 points to lead the way, while Ace Glass once again delivered with 14 points, five assists and five rebounds. ND Okafor was the third Cougar in double-figures with 12 points, while also blocking three shots and grabbing two rebounds.

WSU is putting in final preparations for the 2025 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Monday, December 22 against Utah State.

The bowl selection marks the ninth bowl game in the last 10 full seasons for WSU and 10th in 13 seasons.

Kickoff in Boise is set for 11 a.m. PT on ESPN.

🏈 A NEW ERA HAS ARRIVED

The Kirby Moore Era is officially underway.

This week, WSU welcomed Coach Moore to the Cougar family at a formal press conference at the Alger Family Club Room at Gesa Field.

Moore has strong ties to eastern Washington, having grown up in Prosser, Wash., where his father, Tom, was a legendary football coach at Prosser High School. He has spent the past three seasons serving as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at the University of Missouri for Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz.
