🔼 Cedric The Entertainer. Former Coug Cedric Coward continued his stellar start to his NBA career with a 17-point, six-rebound performance in Memphis’ home matchup against Detroit on Monday night.
In his eight NBA games so far, Coward has scored in double-figures in seven of those contests and is averaging 15.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
🔼 Opening Acts. The 2025-26 WSU Hoops season is officially underway with both teams battling to the wire, but dropping tough opening night matchups.
The women’s squad showed their firepower with an offensive clinic, but dropped a 87-85 battle, while the men’s team couldn’t fight all the way back from an early hole in a tough 83-81 loss.
🔼 We Love Lucie. For the third time this season, WSU volleyball’s Lucie Blažková was named West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Blažková totaled 22 kills on a .439 hitting percentage, three aces, eight total blocks, six digs and 30.5 total points in a pair of wins over Pacific and Oregon State. She averaged 3.14 kills, 4.36 points, 0.43 aces, and 1.14 blocks per set.

The Cougars' 2026 slate features 12 games against four NCAA Tournament teams, 15 games against future Pac-12 Conference members and three games against Big 12 Conference teams along with six home series including a two-game home set against Oregon State.
