🔼 Powering The Paint. A monster night from redshirt junior ND Okafor led the way as the Washington State men’s hoops squad powered past visiting Southern Utah, 98-74, on Wednesday night in Beasley Coliseum.

Okafor posted a career-best and game-high 27 points on 12-of-14 shooting, while Ace Glass also achieved a career best 20 points in the victory. Eemeli Yalaho notched his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Jerone Morton was the fourth Coug in double-figures with 10 points and five assists.

With the frontcourt tandem of Yalaho and Okafor leading the way, the Cougars outscored the Thunderbirds, 48-32, in the paint and outrebounded the T-birds, 36-26.

🔼 Senior Salutin’. Prior to Thursday’s meeting with Portland, the WSU volleyball recognized and celebrated its incredible senior class.

🔼 Rising Up. The NCAA released the latest Division I graduation rate data Wednesday, including the division's Graduation Success Rate (GSR), which included a score of 87 for Washington State Athletics.

The GSR includes student-athletes who received athletic aid and enrolled at Washington State as freshmen or transfer students between 2015-18, and completed their degree within six years.

Washington State's most recent GSR score continues a trend that has seen the Cougars improve their score over the past 17 years. Dating back to 2008 when WSU's GSR score was 77 percent, sustained improvement has been seen over the past 17 years, peaking at 91 the past two years.

For the most recent data (2015-18), WSU had three sport programs, soccer, volleyball and men's golf, record perfect multi-year GSR scores of 100. Soccer, volleyball, rowing and men's golf each recorded perfect singles-year GSW scores of 100. It marked the eighth-straight year men's golf recorded a perfect score.
