🔼 Youth Of A Nation. The future of WSU women’s soccer was on display this past week with Delaney Hawkins helping lead the Cougs to back-to-back home victories over Oregon State and Fresno State.
For her efforts last week, Hawkins was named the Pac-12 Conference Newcomer of the Week. She netted two goals in the first seven minutes in Thursday’s win over the Beavers, adding a third in Sunday’s victory over the Bulldogs.
Hawkins, a native of Scottsdale, Arizona, is WSU’s leading goal-scorer with a team-best five goals, tied for fifth in the Pac-12 in scoring. Thursday’s performance marked Hawkins’ first multi-goal game of her career and the first multi-goal game by a Coug this season.

🔼 High Five. The WSU men’s golf team had a strong showing this week at the Oregon State Invitational, earning a fifth-place finish amongst a 12-team field, completing the 54-hole tournament at 9-under.
Junior Garrett Harrison led the Cougs with a season-best finish, tying for fifth at 7-under, 206. Harrison saved his best round of the tournament for Tuesday’s 18 holes, firing a 4-under 67, matching his lowest round of the season, to climb seven spots on the leaderboard. Harrison improved each round in Corvallis, posting scores of 70, 69 and 67.
