🔼 En Fuego. If this was an old school SportsCenter episode, Dan Patrick would characterize the WSU volleyball squad as “En Fuego”.
The Cougs stayed perfect in conference play and rolled to its eighth win in the past nine matches with a sweep of Gonzaga on Saturday afternoon.
Taryn Vrieling led the charge offensively with 15 kills on .571 hitting, repeatedly finding gaps in Gonzaga's defense. Eliana Ti'a was a force at the net as well, recording 11 kills at a .474 clip and adding two blocks.
Italia Bernal orchestrated the Cougar attack with 31 assists, while Lucie Blažková tallied eight kills on .583 hitting to go with four block assists. Camryn Lingenbrink provided a spark with six kills and three blocks off the bench.

🔼 Point Earned. The resiliency of the WSU soccer program was on display on Sunday evening, clawing their way back to earn a point in league play.
The Cougars trailed at halftime for the first time this year, fighting back with a 71st-minute equalizer from senior Jordyn Young, her team-leading third goal of the season, to earn a 1-1 draw at San Diego in the first road game of West Coast Conference action.

🔼 Weekend Work. It was a busy weekend for the WSU tennis squad, who spent three days competing at the Duck Invitational in Eugene, Oregon.
The Cougs tallied up 10 victories during their trip, including a perfect 5-0 day on Friday to kick off the competition.
