🔼 Taking Flight. Two weeks into the NBA season and four former Cougs are already making their presence felt with their squads.

Leading that charge is Jaylen Wells and Cedric Coward, who have helped the Memphis Grizzlies off to a perfect 4-0 start. The duo has combined to average 28.1 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Griz.

Coug legend Klay Thompson has scored in double-figures in two of his four games with his new squad, the Miami Heat, while Isaac Jones has provided depth for the Pistons, who are off to a 3-1 start.

Cougs don't just show up on game day. They show up every day.

🔼 Almost Showtime. We are now just five days away from the WSU men's and women's basketball programs tipping off the 2026-27 season on Monday, November 2.

The Cougar men open at home against Davidson at 6 p.m. PT inside Beasley Coliseum, hoping to carry momentum from an impressive 84-80 exhibition victory over rival Washington.

Meanwhile, the Cougar women begin their campaign with a demanding two-game road trip, visiting California on Monday before facing Oregon on Friday, November 6. The women will make their home debut November 9 against Idaho.

With both programs preparing for a competitive nonconference slate and the return of Pac-12 basketball, the opening week offers an important opportunity to establish an identity and set the tone for the season ahead.

🔼 The Pro Pipeline. It was a quieter week for former Cougs in the NFL with Daiyan Henley (Los Angeles Chargers) and Kyle Williams (New England Patriots) both on a bye.

Reigning Super Bowl champ Abraham Lucas and the Seahawks were anything but quiet this week, dominating the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night football. The former Coug played every offensive snap as Seattle piled up over 400 yards of total offense in the rout.
