🔼 Primetime Players. Once again, the Cougs put on quite a show in the NFL this past weekend, highlighted by a breakout game from New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams.
The second-year receiver enjoyed his best NFL performance, hauling in three passes for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' 45-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Williams' biggest play came on a 40-yard touchdown reception.
Defensively, former Cougar Jaylen Watson made an immediate impact in his return to the Los Angeles Rams' lineup, playing all 64 defensive snaps and intercepting Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Meanwhile, Washington Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu turned in one of his strongest performances of the season, recording nine tackles in a tie against the New York Giants, while Daiyan Henley continued his productive season with six tackles against the Broncos.
Cougs don't just show up on game day. They show up every day.

🔼 History Makers. For the first time in program history, the WSU women’s cross country team earned the No. 1 ranking in the West Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings released this week.
After a strong showing at last weekend’s Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, the women’s team moved up two spots from No. 3, climbing ahead of Oregon and Stanford, which are ranked second and third.
🔼 Movin’ On Up. On Tuesday at the Bryson Invitational, the WSU men’s golf team turned in a great second round to move up the leaderboard heading into today’s final round.
Every member of the WSU team turned in a score at 1-over par or better, which propelled the Cougs into a tie at second place out of 12 teams. Three Cougs ended the day under par, with the other two finishing even and 1-over par respectively.
Redshirt-senior Ben Borgida followed up his opening round 70 with a 72 on Tuesday. Borgida leads WSU with an overall score of 2-under par and moved up to sixth place after the second round.
