🔼 Ace In The Hand. For the third time this season, Ace Glass was named WCC Freshman of the Week.

Glass earned the weekly conference honor for the first time since WCC action started, delivering a league high 29 points at San Diego and adding 18 points in Saturday's win over Pepperdine.

He has scored in double figures for 11-consecutive games, including every WCC game, and has delivered at least 10 points in 17 of the last 18 games.

The Rialto, California native sits fourth in the West Coast Conference overall and the best scoring average of any freshman in the League. Glass ranks 14th nationally in freshman scoring. From the floor, Glass is shooting 48.3 percent, fifth in the WCC, and ninth nationally for a freshman guard.

🔼 Leading His Way. This one is special.

On Tuesday, Zevi Eckhaus, WSU redshirt senior QB, was anounced as this year’s recipient of the 2026 Dolph Schayes Outstanding Performance by a Jewish Athlete Award. The award will be presented to Zevi at the February 1, 2026, "Only the Football was Trayf, Jews in Football Panel Discussion."

On the season, Zevi appeared in 14 games, 11 as a starter, and he went 230-of-357 for 2,518 yards and 19 touchdowns and he rushed for 399 yards and 9 touchdowns. He finished his college career with 11,031 passing yards and 94 touchdown passes and also rushed for 1,161 yards and 14 touchdowns.

🔼 Student Salutin’. Each month Washington State Academic Services honors two student-athletes who demonstrate commitment to academics, while competing in their sport at a high level.

For the month of December, the Cougars honor women's basketball's Alex Covill and men's basketball's Parker Gerrits.

Covill, a junior center, owns a 3.89 GPA while majoring in human development. The Missoula, Mont. native is a member of WSU's SAAC, volunteered in the community service events around the Pullman area and earned West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention.

Gerrits, a redshirt-sophomore guard, owns a 3.75 GPA while majoring in finance, is a member of WSU SAAC and has participated in many WSU career development opportunities including financial literacy, resume workshops, mock job interviews and networking events.
