🔼 Super Bowl Bound. In two weeks, the world will turn its eyes on Santa Clara for Super Bowl LX.

A pair of former WSU standouts will square off for a chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy as Abraham Lucas and the Seahawks and Kyle Williams and the Patriots both punched their tickets to the Big Game on Sunday afternoon in the NFC and AFC Championship games.

This marks the second straight season that two former Cougs reached the Super Bowl after Jaden Hicks and Jaylen Watson and the Chiefs played in last year’s game.

🔼 Dialing Long Distance. While much of the country was dealing with a winter storm, there was nothing that could cool off the hot-shooting WSU men’s hoops team this past weekend.

The Cougs rode 16 3-pointers and a lights out shooting performance to dominant Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon, 95-79.

WSU jumped out to a 20-point first-half lead and never relented, shooting 53 percent from the floor with six different players scoring in double figures.

Six different Cougars scored in double-figures led by Simon Hildebrandt (19 pts off the bench) and Ace Glass (18 points, five assists and three rebounds).

🔼 WINter Wonderland. The men’s hoops team wasn’t the only one heating up this past weekend.

The WSU swimming squad rolled to a pair of road wins this past weekend, dominating Northern Colorado (174-105) on Friday and battling past Wyoming on Saturday (175-119).

🤔 COUGAR TRIVIA

With his 18 points this past weekend against Pepperdine, Ace Glass increased his season average to 16.9 points per game.

Where does he rank among freshman scorers nationally?
